Each week, Côté Bergamote’s head chef cooks a special with a different fresh herb, and explains its health and healing benefits. Simple goodness is at the heart of this lovely-looking independent restaurant in Paris’s Saint Germain des Pres. An elegant cream awning and big glass windows make an uplifting impression that continues inside where stone walls, brass kitchenware, antique cupboards and old wooden chairs embody a true homeliness that’s never kitsch. The cooking is excellent – light and refined. Côté Bergamote is perfect for sharing an intimate meal, catching up over a few glasses of wine, and generally relaxing. The terrace soon fills up when the weather’s good.
