Soul and Brazilian music aficioniados flock night after night to Bizz’art, a New York loft-style club and live music venue on Quai de Valmy running parallel to Canal Saint Martin, one of Paris’ lesser known yet most picturesque spots. The former British Army officers' mess has oodles of character and atmosphere, especially in the modish mezzanine where the Bizz’art restaurant offers a top-dollar view of the brightly lit bar and dance floor. Dine in cosy style on a familiar traditional French menu beneath exposed wooden beams and glowing chandeliers descending from a high ceiling. Then join the cool crowd, dancing to a live band, accomplished solo artist or DJ, depending what night of the week you’re here. Themed nights are big at Bizz’art, too.
