Time Out says

A three-storey dining and drinking establishment with vintage touches just off St Stephen’s Green

A former wig-maker, the tongue twisting Peruke and Periwig serves a hefty dose of nineteenth-century nostalgia alongside its creative cocktails, bar snacks, and multicourse-meals. The ground floor may look like any other vintage saloon (albeit with the addition of decorative wigs hanging from the panelled walls) but the second and third floor lounges are dripping in decadence. Mahogany bookshelves and gilded picture frames surround candle-lit tables with plus velvet seats. The extensive cocktail catalogue is divided by flavour profiles conveyed through music genres like pop, soul, blues, rock and roll, alternative, trad, and jazz. The creative menu (set courses available) contains a blend of traditional Irish dishes and modern European fare.

Time Out tip: Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to order food to enjoy the lounge spaces on the second and third floors.
