Time Out says

For more ethnic restaurants that appear in Lisbon, there is still a little bit of pride in each one of us, which comes to the top every time we talk about a Portuguese restaurant with traditional food. This Farol da Torre, a Minhota (meaning it’s typical from Minho, in the northern region of Portugal) house in Linda-a-Velha, is one of those that we would not want to see exchanged not even for a Japanese Michelin star. There are fish and meat in the coals, some oven dishes, good game dishes, lamprey in the season and even snails in the summer months. On Thursdays there is Portuguese stew with smoked meats.

Perfect for: taking those friends who think they know all the secrets to the city.
Must try: the boar woodpecker with homemade chips.
