It was still not this year that the Varanda do Ritz has won a Michelin star (some say it's the buffet's fault), but that does not seem to discourage Pascal Meynard, the smiling executive chef of the Lisbon Ritz, with a hotel kitchen very connected to the French school - the chef was born in the Basque Country, France.
