One of the most successful musicals of all time, Wicked, is about to start its much-anticipated run at Melbourne’s Regent Theatre, and we couldn’t be more excited to have this Broadway blockbuster in town off the back of its 20th anniversary. Or, we thought we couldn’t be more excited – until we found out that they’re adding a special additional preview show, and tickets will set you back just $20.

That’s right, for less than the price of your average dinner these days, hundreds of lucky Melburnians will get to see Elphaba and Glinda in the flesh before everyone else. Forget about ‘Defying Gravity’, we’re defying the cost of living crisis here folks!

The preview in question will take place on Saturday, March 2, at 7.30pm – and it bears repeating: all seats will be sold for just $20. So, how can you get your hands on the hottest tickets in town? You’ll need to literally join the queue, because tickets to this preview will be sold exclusively in person via the Regent Theatre box office. How retro!

Mark your calendars: sales begin at precisely 8am next Wednesday, February 7. We’re expecting a fan frenzy, as tickets will be allocated on a strictly "first come, first served" basis. Take note of the rules: sales are capped at two tickets per person, they can’t be resold, and don’t forget to bring ID. We recommend queueing up as early as possible. We’ll see you there.
